Support

Email hello@conatus.space — we usually reply within a couple of days.

Reporting a bug? Tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, what you expected, and what happened instead. If it involves blocking, say whether Screen Time permission is granted and whether the session was scheduled or started on demand.

Blocking isn't working

Work through these in order — the first two fix most reports.

  • Check Screen Time permission. Settings → Screen Time, and in iOS Settings → Clutch, confirm access is still granted. Revoking it silently disables all blocking.
  • Confirm a session is actually running. The Today screen and the Live Activity both show the active session. A schedule that hasn't started yet blocks nothing.
  • Restart the device. Screen Time's enforcement extensions occasionally get stuck; a restart reloads them.
  • Re-pick your blocklist. If you restored from a backup or changed Apple ID, the stored app tokens may no longer resolve. Re-select your apps and categories.

Everything is blocked and I can't get out

Use Emergency Stop in Settings. It clears every active shield immediately, no challenge required. It's logged against your day, and it's meant to be there — being genuinely locked out of your own phone is a failure mode, not a feature.

Lumi isn't replying

  • Lumi needs a network connection; blocking and sessions do not.
  • On the free tier there's a daily chat allowance. When it runs out, Lumi goes quiet until tomorrow — the app tells you where you stand.
  • If replies fail with an error while you're online and under the cap, that's a bug. Send us the time it happened.

Subscriptions

  • Manage or cancel: iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Clutch. Or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
  • Restore a purchase: Clutch → Settings → Restore Purchases. You must be signed in with the Apple ID that bought it.
  • Refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com — we can't issue them, but tell us what went wrong anyway.
  • Paid but still on Free? Try Restore Purchases first. If it persists, email us the Apple receipt and we'll sort it out.

Deleting your account

Clutch → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your goals, chats, verification media, streaks and history from our systems. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an active App Store subscription — cancel that separately in iOS Settings, or you'll keep being billed.

If you can't reach the in-app option, email hello@conatus.space from your account's email address and we'll do it for you.

I can't delete the app

That's removal protection doing its job. Turn it off in Clutch → Settings, or revoke Screen Time authorisation for Clutch in iOS Settings — which will ask for your Screen Time passcode if you set one. Forgotten that passcode? Apple documents the recovery process; we have no way to bypass it.

Feature requests

Send them. Clutch is small and actively being built — tell us what would make it work for the way you actually get derailed, and be specific about the situation rather than the feature.
